Chattanooga, TN July 2009- Interpak has recently entered into an exclusive representation agreement with Somic Verpackungsmaschinen for the United States. Somic is located in Amerang, Germany just outside of Munich. Somic Verpackungsmaschinen has focused on specialty product collations and end packaging since 1974. The addition of Somic will replace PAAL Verpackungsmaschinen in Interpak’s delivery program due to the recent sale of PAAL. Interpak experienced 15 years of success with Paal and wishes success for Paal and its employees.
The privately held Somic builds high quality case packers, tray formers, carton closers, display tray packers, and multi-variety packers for an infinitely wide variety of products. We are pleased to announce along with this solid addition of Somic, our customers will enjoy cost savings due to the efficiencies practiced by Somic’s manufacturing operations and modern machine design techniques.
As announced some weeks ago, we recently formed an agreement with HDG Verpackungsmaschinen which specializes in form/fill/seal pouches. HDG and Somic can be integrated together to form a complete packaging line, and have worked together on several projects. Somic has also worked with our other partner Illig, packaging discharged thermoformed products.
Interpak is proud to offer HDG and Somic to the US market. Each company is a market leader in Europe, and looks forward to gaining market share in North America.
Interpak’s packaging machinery program now includes three outstanding privately held German packaging machinery manufacturers: Illig Maschinenbau (Thermoforming, FFS Equipment), HDG Verpackungsmaschinen (Pouches), and Somic Verpackungsmaschinen (End Packaging). Each company holds a premier ranking in their respective markets for producing the finest quality machines available.
We look forward to continued growth in the future and working on your current and future projects.
